Creating your custom portrait
I want to make sure that my portrait of your pet represents her in the best way possible. Because of this, I request that you allow me some discretion as to the medium, style, and exact size that I use to create her portrait. For example, I might feel that your pet would be best represented using color, or shades of gray. Or I might feel that your pet would be best represented using a lot of fine detail, or a looser hand.
Please review my *Selected Works*, and if you like what you see, please trust my judgment!
After reading through this page, please fill out the *Contact* form, including all fields. I will then be in touch to ask for any additional information that I need, and to present you with my proposal for your custom piece (including anticipated medium, approximate size, time frame, and pricing).
Most pieces are around 8"x8" or 10"x12," though dimensions and sizes vary. If you are looking for something in particular (for example, a certain sized piece to hang in a certain part of your home), please let me know this when you fill out the *Contact* form, and I will see what I can do to work within those limits.
Reference photos
It is important that you are able to provide several high quality photographs of your pet so that I can choose which reference photo or photos will work best. If you are not able to provide high quality photographs of your pet, it may severely limit what type of portrait I can do, or I might not be able to create one at all. Once you have filled out the *Contact* form, I will be in touch for you to e-mail me some photographs.
Framing
You can be assured that you will receive a finished piece with a beautiful frame, ready to be hung in your home! Some examples of framed work can be found below.
Pricing
Pricing will vary depending on what medium I use, how much time the piece takes to create, and what framing options you are looking for. For example, color pencil takes the longest, so will likely cost the most. And the cost of framing varies based on the size of the piece, the type of frame, the number of mats, and whether or not you want non-glare glass. We will discuss pricing for your custom piece once I have collected all of the necessary information from you. If there is a specific budget you need to work within, please let me know this on the *Contact* form, and I will see what I can do to work within those limits.
